Southwark Council – older people insight project
Southwark Council would like to improve their understanding of older people, living in Southwark, who do not require Adult Social Care Services.
There are many people in Southwark who do not rely on social services for help and they would like to make sure they are providing the services which are needed today, and in the future.
They have produced a short questionnaire which can be downloaded here or mailed to you if you call in to the office.
- The projects overall objective is to realise a reduction in the numbers of residents requiring a care package – because they have received support earlier, which allows them to live independently longer.
- Through the provision of sufficient support to 65-85 year olds, customers are enabled to continue to live independently and therefore remain outside the care system for an additional two years.
- The project aims to achieve these objectives by developing a more targeted service across the council, NHS, voluntary sector, community groups and local business.
