Free legal advice at London Southbank re-opens…
The London Southbank University Legal Advice Clinic will re-open to the public on Wed 26th September after a summer break. The Clinic is a free drop-in service 5 minutes’ walk from Elephant & Castle staffed by LSBU Student Volunteers under the supervision of practising solicitors (myself and my colleagues, Alan Russell and Sara Chandler).
After a very successful first year, the Legal Advice Clinic is reopening with extended opening hours, more students and staff, and a wider coverage of specialist legal advice areas.
• We provide basic information on any topic
• We provide generalist advice in any social welfare law matters (except immigration)
• We signpost and refer to appropriate local advice and legal services
• We provide specialist legal advice in family, housing, employment, long leaseholder issues and personal injury at Thursday evening sessions (accessible via our daytime drop-in)
The Clinic is located at Caxton House, 13-16 Borough Road, Southwark SE1 0AA.
Public drop-in sessions take place on Wed 10am-12noon, Wed 3pm-5pm and Thurs 2pm-4pm – during term-time only (25 Sept-13 Dec 2012; 30 Jan-9 May 2013).
