And they’re off! London to Paris and back…. In 4 days.

This morning saw the start of the London 2 Paris 2 London challenge. Seven cyclists will be covering nearly 600 miles in just four days, all to raise money for Carers Trust, which helps carers across the UK.

Southwark Carers were proudly joined by local MP Simon Hughes to wave the cyclists off from the newly-redeveloped Burgess Park. The riders had already arrived at Folkestone by midday! You can follow their progress at www.london2paris2london.co.uk, where there’s a live-feed and more information about the challenge. The team, led by Jason Horn, will be carrying out their epic fundraising effort at incredible speed, arriving back at the Southwark Resource Centre at 5pm this Sunday 9th September – 10 Bradenham Close, Walworth, London SE17 2QB. So if you’re free, join us then to welcome back the riders who have already raised thousands of pounds for carers across the UK.
