Low vitamin D linked to dementia risk

Vitamin D - associated with exposure to sunlight and eating oily fish – has a positive effect in terms of reducing the risk of dementia, according to a new study.

As the below report says, experts are not yet recommending Vitamin D supplements as a preventative measure, but the study published by the Neurology journal suggested it may be something that can help older people decrease the chances of suffering from dementia.
