Rank Group employees raise money for 24/7 campaign

Employees at the Rank Group are taking part in fundraising activities for Carers Trust’s 24/7 campaign. Events and activities are being held throughout July, with a particular focus on the 24th itself.

The 24/7 campaign aims to highlight the round-the-clock care provided by the UK’s 7 million carers, and to raise as much money as possible for the Rank Cares Grants Programme.
Rank Group Employees have planned some amazing fundraisers including 24-hour bike-a-thons, a 24-hour board game challenge, a 24km walk over 7 bridges in London, a 24-hour treadmill challenge, a cake bake sale with 24 varieties and a 24-hour sponsored silence. Mecca have even coordinated 50 employees from 14 of their clubs to climb Mount Snowdon on the same day – an outstanding achievement!
The money Rank employees raise during 24/7 will go to the Carers Trust small grants fund, which provides carers registered at Carers Trust Network Partners with access to grants to buy essential household items, respite breaks and skills and learning courses.
Rank Cares Grants Programme

All the money raised will go towards delivering the small grants fund and these will be available through our Network Partners:

Essentials Fund – will mean that carers will be able to apply for grants towards the cost of vital equipment such as washing machines, cookers, fridge freezers, or even a bed so that they can get a decent night’s sleep – assisting Carers with their caring role and make daily life a bit easier.

Take a Break Fund – will give carers time out from their caring role to relax, do something for themselves and recharge their batteries.

Inspire to Be Fund –will enable carers to learn new skills that will assist them in their caring role or help them to return to work.
